Solution - Docker desktop shows error WSL needs updating

I have enabled Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) from the Windows features and then installed Docker desktop. When launching Docker desktop it showed the following error “WSL needs updating”.

Your version of Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) is too old Run the command below to update or for more information, visit the Microsoft WSL documentation

wsl --update

[Restart]

Running ‘wsl —update’ didn’t didn’t fix the issue for me.

The fix that worked for me is to download WSL as an exe and install it. The executable is available in their official GitHub repository.
